In a Work chat, type @Betterleap and ask. The first time, ChatGPT sends you to Betterleap: sign in with the Google or Microsoft account you use for Betterleap and click Approve.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a developer or IT to set this up?
No. Connecting takes the steps above and about two minutes: add Betterleap in ChatGPT, sign in to Betterleap and approve. There is nothing to install and no key to manage.
Which ChatGPT plans can add Betterleap?
Custom MCP server plugins are available to ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu customers on the web, where a workspace administrator may need to allow them first. On individual paid plans the option can sit behind Developer mode in ChatGPT's settings. Check ChatGPT's own help for the current plan details.
Will ChatGPT ask before it changes anything?
Yes. ChatGPT asks you to confirm in the conversation before an action that creates or changes something in Betterleap, on top of Betterleap's own rules: emails are previews until you say send, and sequences launch only when you say launch.
Can ChatGPT send emails without me knowing?
No. A one-off email is shown to you as a preview and only goes out when you explicitly tell ChatGPT to send it. Sequences are created without sending and start only when you say launch; you can pause or stop them the same way. Everything sends from your own connected inbox, on your usual sending schedule.
What does ChatGPT see?
Only your Betterleap workspace, through your own sign-in: the candidates you search for, your projects, sequences, connected inboxes and replies. It never sees another customer's data. Uninstall the Betterleap plugin in ChatGPT at any time, which ends its access immediately.
Does this cost extra?
ChatGPT access is switched on per Betterleap workspace as part of your Betterleap agreement. Your account manager, or [email protected], will confirm what is included for yours and turn it on.
Does this replace the Betterleap app?
No. ChatGPT works in the same workspace: a project it creates is the same project your team sees in Betterleap, with the same candidates, sequences and replies. Use whichever is quicker for the task at hand.
Can I use other AI agents?
Yes. Betterleap connects to Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot the same way, and any AI agent that supports MCP connections can be set up with our team; the developer documentation has the details.
