Create the Betterleap connector
In the Microsoft 365 admin center, open Copilot, then Connectors, select the Gallery tab and Create a new connector. Choose Connect to MCP server, name it Betterleap and use this address as the base URL. For authentication, register the OAuth details Betterleap provides, then roll the connector out to the recruiting team.

In Copilot Chat, open Settings, then Sources, and connect Betterleap. Sign in with the Google or Microsoft account you use for Betterleap, check what Copilot will be able to do, and click Approve.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a developer or IT to set this up?
Your Microsoft 365 administrator adds Betterleap once for the whole organization; after that, connecting is a sign-in and an Approve for each recruiter. Nothing is installed on your computer and there is no key to manage.
Which licence does this need?
Each recruiter needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence from your organization, and the connector has to be rolled out to them by an administrator. Check Microsoft's own documentation for the current requirements.
What does Betterleap give our admin?
The connector address shown above, the OAuth client details the Microsoft 365 admin center asks for when it registers Betterleap (client ID, secret, authorization and token endpoints), and our privacy and terms links. Email [email protected] and we will send a one-page setup note your admin can follow.
Can Copilot send emails without me knowing?
No. A one-off email is shown to you as a preview and only goes out when you explicitly tell Copilot to send it. Sequences are created without sending and start only when you say launch; you can pause or stop them the same way. Everything sends from your own connected inbox, on your usual sending schedule.
What does Copilot see?
Only your Betterleap workspace, through your own sign-in: the candidates you search for, your projects, sequences, connected inboxes and replies. It never sees another customer's data. Disconnect it under Copilot's Sources settings at any time, and your admin can disable the connector for the whole organization.
Does this cost extra?
Copilot access is switched on per Betterleap workspace as part of your Betterleap agreement. Your account manager, or [email protected], will confirm what is included for yours and turn it on.
Does this replace the Betterleap app?
No. Copilot works in the same workspace: a project it creates is the same project your team sees in Betterleap, with the same candidates, sequences and replies. Use whichever is quicker for the task at hand.
Can I use other AI agents?
Yes. Betterleap connects to Claude, ChatGPT the same way, and any AI agent that supports MCP connections can be set up with our team; the developer documentation has the details.
