IntelyCare alternatives for facilities that want to hire nurses permanently

IntelyCare is a staffing platform first. Its homepage calls itself "The Best App For Flexible Nursing Jobs" and invites nurses to "Set your own schedule with per-diem or contract opportunities": per diem shifts, local contracts and travel assignments. The nurse who picks up those shifts, an "IntelyPro", is IntelyCare's W-2 employee; the company says it contributes to payroll taxes and provides "employer-sponsored benefits", workers' compensation and malpractice insurance. The facilities page offers "Temporary staffing solutions" from a team "ranked #1 in quality, with 99% of shifts earning a 5/5 facility rating", "Local contracts" for "longer-term engagements", dedicated account management, credentialing and onboarding services, "Protection from worker misclassification", "Transparent billing" and PBJ reporting. Its contact form lists assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, hospitals, long-term acute care, continuing care retirement communities, outpatient clinics and ambulatory care, which is the post-acute footprint it grew up in. In January 2026 it announced the acquisition of CareRev, "the on-demand workforce platform purpose-built for acute care", to manage "permanent staff, internal resource pools, and contingent labor through a single tech platform"; both companies "will continue operating under their established brands". Pricing for the staffing service is not published.

IntelyCare's permanent-hiring product is a job board. The facilities page's "Post a Job" link leads to Credenza, a sister brand whose footer carries the IntelyCare name and whose site describes "a clinical talent sourcing platform where healthcare employers find screened, work-ready nurses". Employers "Post a Job & Integrate Your ATS", "Screen & Shortlist" and "Send Back To Your ATS"; the clinician's license, certifications and other credentials "are screened before you apply to any job". Credenza publishes its employer pricing: a Starter plan, "Free (30-day trial)" then listed at $199 a month to "Post 1 job at a time"; Essential at $795 a month for "up to 5 jobs at a time"; and Growth at $2,195 a month for "up to 15 jobs at a time", each with listing management and "Performance analytics against your jobs". Credenza is explicit that "the company that posts a job handles the application process internally" and that it "is not involved in the hiring process", and that searching profiles "for clinicians with specific skills and experience" is still to come "as we continue to add new tools". So the IntelyCare route to a permanent hire is: post the job, wait for screened clinicians to apply, then run the rest yourself.

A facility that wants to stop renting shifts and hire nurses onto its own payroll is therefore choosing between two kinds of tool. Inbound: a marketplace where clinicians who are already searching apply to you, which is what Credenza is, and which bigger marketplaces do with more candidates and more automation. Outbound: a tool that finds and contacts the nurses who are not searching at all. The five alternatives below cover both, plus the case where you still need shift coverage while you hire. Every fact comes from the vendor's own site on the date shown.

1. Betterleap: outbound sourcing for the nurses who are not applying

A job board, Credenza included, only shows you clinicians who built a profile and chose to apply. The nurses a facility most wants to hire permanently are usually employed, not searching, and on no board. Betterleap reaches them. A recruiter describes the role in plain language; the agent searches 35M+ healthcare professionals, checks licensure through 25+ state board partnerships, writes a personalized multi-step email sequence, sends it from the recruiter's own mailbox and follows up until candidates reply. It also re-engages the past applicants and silver medalists already sitting in your ATS (25+ integrations) after refreshing their contact data. References: Beebe Healthcare (91% contact match rate, 77% candidate response rate via chat), Community Health Network (35% increase in sourcing efficiency, about ten hours a week saved per recruiter) and FOX Rehabilitation (five or more new markets entered with no prior pipeline). Betterleap is for permanent hiring onto your own payroll; it does not staff per diem, contract or travel shifts.

2. Incredible Health: the permanent-only marketplace

The closest inbound answer to "a job board, but with the volume and automation of a marketplace". Incredible Health describes itself as "the largest software and AI-enabled career marketplace for permanent healthcare workers", "100% specialized for healthcare only", connecting "1,500+ US healthcare employers and 1.5M US healthcare professionals", with a "2 week go-live", Workday Innovation Partner status and integrations "with all major ATS including Oracle, iCIMS, SAP, and more". Where Credenza hands applicants back to your team, Incredible Health's AI voice agent Lyn "interviews and sells to candidates across every job category, 24/7, with a 96% candidate satisfaction score" and returns a structured summary. The published results are permanent-hiring results: Montefiore Health System "reduced premium labor spend by $3.8M and sourced 33% of all nurse hires through Incredible Health" by "converting agency reliance into permanent placements"; Johns Hopkins Health System went "from 95 days to 21 days for permanent specialty hires"; Providence Health "doubled permanent placements across 51 hospitals"; at Alameda Health System "70% of hires have been for hard-to-fill specialties like ICU". Its customer list is hospitals and health systems; a skilled nursing operator should ask whether its candidate pool matches post-acute roles. See also Incredible Health alternatives.

3. Vivian Health: permanent, contract and per diem postings on one marketplace

If you want to post permanent roles and still cover contract and per diem gaps from the same place, Vivian is the inbound marketplace that serves "Direct Healthcare Employers" as well as agencies. It describes "over 2.8 million highly engaged healthcare professionals across nursing, Allied, Therapy, APP", "1.8M+ clinicians within the Vivian talent pool" and "200,000 unique users" searching jobs each month; its "Permanent Hiring" offer lets recruiters "Chat directly with engaged candidates" who are "pre-screened based on Role Type, Availability & Licensure", with a "Healthcare Specific Universal Profile" of work experience, licenses and certifications that can be pushed to your ATS. The Vivian AI Assistant "engages candidates 24/7, screens them against role requirements, preps them for submission, and then hands them off to recruiters"; Vivian reports candidates respond to it "up to 4x more often" and placements rise "up to 15%". Employers can also "Hire travel, local contract, and per diem clinicians through Vivian" on their own terms. See also Vivian Health alternatives.

4. ShiftMed: the W-2 marketplace with a path to permanent staff

For a hospital or health system weighing IntelyCare's new acute-care offer, ShiftMed is the like-for-like comparison with an explicit conversion story. It calls itself the "Leading AI-Powered Workforce Platform in Healthcare", "Powering 100+ hospital & health system brands across 3,000+ locations" with "1.6M" clinicians in what it describes as the largest clinical network in the U.S. The operating model fills open shifts from your own core, PRN and float staff first and only then activates "credentialed local W-2 clinicians at the lowest available cost"; the part that matters for a permanent-hiring buyer is that you can "convert them into your internal tiers at no cost, turning contingent labor into a hiring pipeline", with "8.8K clinicians converted to permanent hires at no cost" and "631K+ external shifts filled in 2025" reported. ShiftMed sells against a "Guaranteed Savings" proposal rather than a price list, and its footprint is acute care rather than the skilled nursing and assisted living settings IntelyCare lists.

5. ShiftKey: independent professionals for shift coverage while you hire

Direct hiring takes months, and most post-acute operators keep some shift coverage in the meantime. ShiftKey is the closest like-for-like replacement for IntelyCare's per diem marketplace in skilled nursing and assisted living, with one structural difference: its professionals are independent, not W-2 employees. "10,000+ facilities are filling shifts and optimizing their workforces with the ShiftKey platform", facilities "Connect directly with 140,000+ experienced, licensed independent professionals" (CNAs, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, RTs, PTs), "Rates on ShiftKey for independent professionals are always set" with "no hidden fees, surge pricing or middlemen", credentials "are all verified and available in the platform", and its SAMI product integrates scheduling with OnShift. IntelyCare's own facilities page pitches "Protection from worker misclassification" as a reason to prefer a W-2 model, so the choice between the two is as much a compliance decision as a cost one. Like IntelyCare, ShiftKey is a bridge, not a direct-hire tool.

How to choose

  • You want to hire permanent nurses who are not on any board: outbound sourcing with licensure verification, Betterleap.
  • You want pre-vetted permanent candidates to apply to you, with AI-run first interviews: Incredible Health.
  • You want to post permanent, contract and per diem roles on one marketplace and engage candidates yourself: Vivian Health.
  • You run a hospital and want shift coverage that converts into permanent staff: ShiftMed, or IntelyCare's CareRev.
  • You run a post-acute facility and still need per diem coverage this quarter: ShiftKey for independent professionals, or IntelyCare itself for W-2 ones.
  • You want to post one or a few jobs at a published monthly price and screen applicants yourself: Credenza remains the fit, alongside any of the above.

Betterleap works alongside any of these: the marketplaces bring the candidates who are already looking, Betterleap finds the ones who are not, and a shift platform keeps the floor covered until the hire starts. Frequently asked questions

Does IntelyCare do permanent nurse hiring?

Not as a service. IntelyCare staffs per diem shifts, local contracts and travel assignments with nurses it employs on a W-2 basis, and since January 2026 also owns CareRev for acute-care on-demand staffing. Its permanent-hiring product is Credenza, a job board where facilities post roles and screened clinicians apply; Credenza says it is not involved in the hiring process itself.

What is the best IntelyCare alternative for hiring nurses permanently?

Incredible Health is the inbound alternative: a marketplace built only for permanent healthcare hires, with an AI voice agent that runs first interviews, and published results such as Montefiore sourcing 33% of nurse hires through it. Betterleap is the outbound alternative, sourcing licensed nurses who are not on any board and re-engaging past applicants in your ATS.

How much does IntelyCare cost?

IntelyCare does not publish pricing for its staffing service. Its Credenza job board does: a Starter plan that is free for a 30-day trial and then listed at $199 a month for one open posting, Essential at $795 a month for up to five, and Growth at $2,195 a month for up to fifteen, as shown on its employer pricing page on 14 October 2026.

What is the difference between IntelyCare and ShiftKey?

Both fill per diem shifts in post-acute settings, but IntelyCare employs its nurses on a W-2 basis with benefits and pitches protection from worker misclassification, while ShiftKey is a marketplace of independent licensed professionals who bid on posted shifts at set rates with no middleman. Neither is a direct-hire tool.

Which IntelyCare alternative turns contract staff into permanent hires?

ShiftMed, for hospitals and health systems: it fills open shifts from your own staff first, then from credentialed local W-2 clinicians, and lets you convert those clinicians into your internal tiers at no cost, reporting 8.8K such conversions. Vivian Health lets a direct employer post permanent, travel, local contract and per diem roles on one marketplace.
