With your ATS connected (see What Talent Rediscovery Is and Getting Connected), rediscovery works inside the projects and search you already use.
Starting a rediscovery project
On the home screen, describe the role as usual, then open the data-source menu next to the Agent / Manual choice and select ATS Talent Rediscovery ("Search candidates in your connected ATS"). You can keep Betterleap Data selected as well to blend past applicants with new candidates; the button shows "ATS" or "N sources" to confirm what's selected. At least one source must stay selected.
Everything else is unchanged: the agent writes the sequence, you launch in Supervised or Full agent mode, and outreach sends from your mailbox. See Project Types, Launching, Pausing and Deleting.
Searching your ATS directly
On the Search page, the Data sources section in the sidebar lists Betterleap and ATS. Tick ATS to search only your own candidates, with the same filters for title, location, licenses and certifications. Add results to a project from the results list as usual.
Reading a rediscovered candidate
ATS candidates carry an ATS label on their card and next to their name on the profile. Under it, an ATS block shows:
- Applied requisition, the job they applied to most recently (or "Latest application" when there are several, and "Req ID" if the export only has a number)
- Applied, the application date
- Stage, how far that application got in your ATS, using your ATS's own stage names
- Req ID
- Resume or Files · N: their attachments, downloadable from the Files section of the profile
- Previous applications, with requisition, ID, date and stage, when they've applied more than once
The profile's current title and company come from Betterleap's own data where available; the ATS supplies the application history and files, not a work history.
Rules that still apply
- Do Not Contact and unsubscribes: a blocked candidate is greyed out with a badge and can't be selected for outreach.
- Cross-project contact rules: see Cross-Project Contact Rules and Sourcing Settings.
- "In N projects" and Hide candidates in projects work for ATS results too.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a candidate show only the application and no experience?
The ATS shares applications and files, not employment history. Where Betterleap has a matching profile of its own, title and company are filled from there.
Can I see which ATS stage the candidate reached?
Yes. Each application shows the stage it reached, with the stage names from your ATS, so you can tell a finalist from someone screened out at application. Use it to prioritize: a candidate who reached onsite or offer for a similar role is your warmest lead.
Are ATS candidates checked for being current employees?
Yes. The same check that keeps your current staff out of outreach applies to rediscovered candidates: anyone whose current employer matches your organization or one of its aliases is excluded. See Workspace Settings for aliases.
